Say you’re rich, richer than your wildest imaginings. Richer than Paul Allen, richer than Bill Gates, hell, you’re richer than Croesus, what kind of car do you get as your daily driver?

First off, you ain’t doing the driving, Jeeves will be taking care of that for you. And second, there is no second. What kind of car? An S-Class? Please, that’s what your chef drives? A Rolls or Bentley? Please! A Maybach 62? Perhaps, but perhaps it’s still a little plebian for you. There is only one answer:

Now, you go back to your truffles dipped in the blood of newborns, Jeeves and I will take a look under the hood.

First off the
Maybach is, essentially, the top of the line. Anything higher, and you’re deep into bespoke territory, and dealing with people like Figoni et Filacci on your body design.
Maybach has been at this since the 30s.

The new
Maybach
Zeppelin is a brute of a car, and, at roughly the size of a minesweeper, has a road presence akin to a Soviet tank, only with a much better interior.

Power? You want power? How about a 6.0 liter V12 biturbo under the bonnet, which now delivers 640 hp and a peak torque of 1000 Newton meters? That enough for you?

Wheels? The
Maybach
Zeppelin features newly designed 20-inch wheels in a Chrome Shadow finish. First they were painted with a black undercoat, then a silver topcoat applied using an elaborate painting process that causes the tone to gradually increase in darkness from the outside in. That enough bling for you Puffy? Oh, not to worry, Sean Combs couldn’t afford one of these.

There’s herds of leather, and there’s special two-tone paint. The interior looks like something from a sultan’s yacht, yet the whole thing is surprisingly understated (those Germans!). Think that’s over the top? Here’s what
Maybach has to say, just about the interior:

BMW X6-Driving Dynamics

Today Yahoo top search keywords was BMW X6.Yeah, the one they called it as “coupe above”.It has all the agility and elegance of a coupe.The BMW X6 creates a new one-as the first Sport Activity Coupe,Equipped with BMW Dynamic Performance Control which has no limits especially in terms of dynamics driving. one BMW call it a coupe above which had all the agility and elegance as a coupe.

Apart from the sloping roofline the X6 concept is rather ordinary, as is usually the case with concepts which are nearly production ready. The front end is similar to the BMW X5, but with a slightly more car-like appearance. The strong styling lines down either side, mixed with the mildly flared wheel arches give the X6 a purposeful stance. VW BlueSport, 57 MPG Roadster

At this year’s Detroit Auto Show, VW showed this stunning little roadster, dubbed the BlueSport. It’s got all the stuff to make a gearhead’s heart flutter: 180HP engine, 6.6 seconds zero to 100 km/h, mid-engine/rear drive top speed is around 140, drop top, a 6-speed DSG dual clutch transmission, the usual. But here’s the kicker: the BlueSport gets 57 miles to the gallon, because it’s got a diesel engine.

That’s right, the BlueSport is an oil burner.

Not only will this help
VW with increases in the CAFE, but there’s some serious enviro cred right there.

Now, anyone will tell you that running Bio-diesel in a new car is probably a bad idea, and most definitely is bad for your warranty … but you know, new cars become old cars, and if you wanted to have fun off the grid, six and a half second to sixty + nearly 60MPG fun, the BlueSport looks like a real good option.

Of course,
VW is saying this is only a show car … no immediate plans for production … yadda-yadda-yadda - but c’mon! They’d be dumber than a bag of hammers not to bring this out. It’s production ready as any
show car I’ve seen and apart from having a soft top, (rather than a now industry standard retractable hardtop) looks like a winner.

Extreme Bentley Concept to be Unveiled at Geneva

Bentley announced they will be unveiling their latest concept car at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show in March. Unimaginatively dubbed “Extreme Bentley,” the new car will be based on Bentley’s new-ish belief in biofuel. This ethanol-guzzling concept looks to be based on the Continental GT, but will beat the GT’s 4 second 0-60 time and 202 mph top speed, becoming the “fastest, most powerful production [Bentley] ever” according to Bentley.

Ethanol-based fuel such as E85 may be cleaner burning, but it gets significantly worse fuel economy than gasoline alone. While I applaud Bentley for thinking ahead with alternative fuel, I’m not sure this is the right time to be releasing a supercar that gets much worse fuel economy than an already fuel inefficient supercar.

The Pininfarina designed Ferrari Mythos is a concept super car of Ferrari’s dating back to 1989. The car is powered by an incredibly powerful 380.00 BHP mid mounted rear wheel drive engine capable of dong 180 mph and has 380.00 BHP power which can do 0-60 mph in 6 seconds. The car was shown at the 1989 Tokyo motor show and was built on the same platform as the Ferrari Testarossa. The car never entered production and only a few examples were made two of which belong to the Sultan of Brunei.
