2009 Ford Transit Connect

2009 Ford Transit Connect 2009 Chevrolet Traverse
The fourth installment in GM's Lambda-based crossover family has been introduced as the Chevrolet Traverse. The styling blends the Division's split-grille face with a rear three-quarter window treatment similar to that of the Buick Enclave. The Traverse is distinguished from its siblings by a chromed mesh grille insert and unique taillamps. Other upscale touches include chromed door handles, a lower chrome rub strip and chromed exhaust tips.
Offered in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, the Traverse can be equipped with either front- or all-wheel drive. While the engine is the same 3.6-liter V-6 found in the Enclave, Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia, it is the first application of direct fuel injection, which boosts output to 281 bhp and 343 lb.-ft. of torque. An optional dual exhaust is good for two more horses. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard.
Measuring 205.0 in. in overall length, the Traverse rides on a 118.9-in. wheelbase with independent suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes. Buyers can choose 17-, 18- or 20-in. alloy wheels. The interior features optional third -row seating and such amenities as a power rear liftgate, onboard navigation, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system and a rearview camera. The Traverse is scheduled to go on sale this summer.
