2009 Ford F-150 Truck Review

2009 Mercedes-Benz ML320 BlueTEC

America's pinup pickup, just got a facelift. Borrowing the looks from the 2008 F-250, the F-150 gets higher and L shaped lights, also a much needed grill change. Now for the guts of the truck, it will be sporting an improved more rigid box frame which give a 10 percent increase in torsinal rigidity, which in laymans terms means it will have a more smoother ride and it will be able to tow and haul more. It also got a safety upgrade, it will now have Standard Roll Stability Control minimizes rollover risks, and Trailer Sway Control reduces the risk of accidents while towing. Ford is breaking new ground with this.

Ford will also be rolling out a Platinum edition which is all chromed out, which will likely be the replacement for the nearly non-existent Lincoln Mark LT, all others packages will still be there King Ranch, Lariet, XLT, Sport, and XL(listed in order of price).

The Ford F-150 has been America's best selling pickup for three decadess, and with this new design it looks like its going to have nothing to worry about With this truck out in '09. This will surely come as a blow to GM, who is trying its best to compete, and to the emerging Toyota Tundra. Kudos for Ford's new CEO former Boeing President, Alan Mulally, for having a plan to turn Ford around, for now though it looks as if America's Baby-Boomers favorite truck isn't going anywhere.
