Subaru’s coming to market in the New Year!

2009 Subaru Forester, a mid size crossover is going to make its debut at upcoming Detroit auto show. The model has been redesigned having more features than the standard crossover possess. The new model takes it styling cues from more traditional models of yesteryears. The body of Subaru Forester is bigger compared to its earlier models. There is increasing class of crossover markets across the globe; the new machine has been designed so as to become competitive with growing number of crossover – wagons from other manufacturers. The latest model has its wheelbase measuring up to 103.0 inches compared to a meager 3.6 inches for old models. The total length of the crossover grows by 3 inches than earlier versions making it look more ravishing and finesse. It has got trimmed exterior packaging as per the suggestion of the current owners of Forester class.

The stretched length of the new Crossover makes it body stronger and powerful as said by company sources at Subaru and it promises a ground clearance of up to 8.9 inches. The motivating engine of the new Forester is seriously capable of giving a real motivation to the drivers of the car, it has both flat fours one is turbocharged and the another one is normally aspirated. The sources at Subaru have not revealed the power output of the new model, but says it’s a 2.5 liter fours that will offer better low-end and mid range torque. There are 2 options available one is manual and other automatic transmission. The models which are manual transmission will have a hill start helper that will avoid the Forester from rolling back when going uphill.

The all-wheel-drive system of the new machine is back with a bang as it returns a double wishbone suspension. This gives you great riding experience not found in its other models. The handling is just superb giving you a SUV seating position, you experience tremendous comfort and power with the new machine. The new model provides you with safety standard features which include traction control, stability, anti-lock braking, curtain airbags, etc.

The interiors of the new model are simply fantastic, it features a higher quality grade of interior trim and for entertainment it comes equipped with auxiliary jack for MP3 players, other optional features include a navigation system helping the new tourists or for the people who are new to the area, step by step guide to the destination and also a satellite radio, in which news or other local programs are broadcasted depending on the area, this would especially help to know the local culture, tradition while visiting new areas.
